Really interesting article about the current status of a lot of solar farms & their future or lack of it.

So many people know nothing about this planning application.
There needs to be more public awareness especially with applications such as solar farms, due to the longevity of the visual impact upon the landscape.
A longer public consulting period, more publicity before the council planners make a decision.
If no one knows....no one will object.
France has recently passed an policy, all new builds in commercial areas now have either solar panels or a green roof.
The energy produced from these panels, added to the energy saved by using green roofs with their insulating properties would eliminate the need to build unsightly solar farms upon our green landscape.
As usual the UK lags behind in its Eco technology. We need to do something now whilst we still do have a green landscape.

A planning application has been submitted to Cherwell District Council for a 20,000 panel solar farm here in this beautiful green landscape.
The photograph of the proposed solar site was taken from a popular bridleway in Deddington that overlooks Dunstew.
Say No. Object to this planning application.
Email your objections asap to: planning@cherwell-dc.gov.uk
